Ground breaking was held for a 24-unit complex located on the southwest end of the Kent Addition Housing Project. The complex is called New Generations and it will offer federally assisted low-income housing to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. Rental rates will be based on 30 percent of the tenant's adjusted annual income.

Contributions were made by the USDA Rural Development's Section 515 Multi-Family Loan Program, which contributed $1 million; a $1,529,220 grant from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, administered by the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency; a contribution of $1,284,570 from the Turtle Mountain Housing Authority (TMHA) and finally Pathways to Prosperity helped with the cost of Architects and Engineering.

Pathways to Prosperity offered Free Tax Preparation from Certified Volunteers. The Tax Prep started January 19th and went through April 13th. There was a total of 226 returns filed this tax period. The Average Federal Refund was $1,421.72. A special thanks goes out to our Certified Volunteers Cheryl Blue and Eva Peltier!
